Deb Newman: Has been practicing yoga for over a decade. She studied with Diane and John Featherstone of Frog Pond Yoga in Princeton, MA where she certified in hatha yoga in 2002. She spends much of her free time at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health Services where she re-energizes and continues to develop and add to her own practice and her teaching and takes classes with several master yoga teachers. She has studied with Natasha Rizopoulos, Ana Forrest, Rodney Yee, Baron Baptist, Patricia Walden, Shiva Rea and countless others in continuing education opportunities as well. Deb enjoys both domestic and international travel and tries to squeeze in a yoga class here and there to counteract jet lag.
In addition to yoga, she studies Buddhism and other world religions and works to incorporate spirituality into daily life. Making at least one retreat a year at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies, she continues to learn new techniques to support her own practice. Deb brings an openhearted, playful style of yoga to her classes, always exploring new methods and the nuances of the experience. As a full-time high school English teacher, she finds the practice and sharing of yoga adds joy to her professional and personal life and says she can't imagine life without the gift of yoga.
Shirley Areano: Shirley got her start teaching aerobics at the Community House over 44 years ago. She teaches our Safe/Chair Aerobics and also teaches at multiple locations in the area.

Robin Johnston: Is a certified AFAA (Aerobics Fitness Association of America) primary group fitness Instructor. She also holds certifications with Mad Dogg Spinning, Punk-Rope, and has current CPR/AED/First-aid. She has been teaching a variety of multi-level classes for over 11 years. The classes she currently teaches are Aerobic Cardio Interval, Muscle Sculpting, Cardio/Core, Spinning and some boot-camp style classes.
Robin is a mother of two teenagers and believes in a healthy lifestyle. She has participated in fundraiser5K Ro ad Races and also completed her first sprint Tri-Athlon in 2012 with some of her clients. Robin attends yearly training workshops to keep classes up to date with new exercise, to help members reach their health and fitness goals while having fun and feeling good doing it.
Hi, I'm Rebecca Tredeau and I love teaching Zumba classes. I have been dancing since the age of 3! I grew up with my family at the Milford School of Dancing, graduated from Nipmuc Regional High School ('90) and went on to study Music,Theatre & Dance at Wheaton college. I have performed throughout New England in several musical theatre productions such as 42nd STREET,CABARET, DAMN YANKEES, CITY OF ANGELS, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and my favorite role: Maggie in A CHORUS LINE. Ann Masse: graduated in May 2013 from the 200 hour Body Matrix Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Training with Victoria Haffer at the Ashram in Millis. Her other Yoga studies include Yogafit Teacher Training Level One, YogaFit Props Workshop, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Myofascial Release, Meridian Yoga, Baron Baptiste 40 days to Personal Revolution and AFAA Practical Yoga Instructor Training. Her interest in Yoga started 8 years ago with Hot Power Yoga, Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga.
Ann is a Jikiden Reiki practitioner. Reiki treatments help clients feel centered, grounded and empowered. She enjoys helping her clients restore to a more harmonious and balanced flow of energy through the body through Reiki. Ann has also been teaching Spinning for 6 years as a certified Star 2 Level Spinning Instructor. She is CPR Certified and is an insured fitness instructor.
Ann enjoys helping others find their inner strength with a supportive and inspiring heart! She implements both physical and mental wellness through her knowledge of yoga and Reiki. Ann considers it an honor to share her practice with her students and is thankful for the wisdom and love received from all of her teachers.
Marcella Pannenborg is a Booty Barre ®certified instructor as well as AFAA Group Exercise, AFAA Practical PilatesTM and CPR certified. She started taking BootyBarre classes a couple of years ago and it was an Eureka moment to find a format that combined strength, flexibility and cardio focusing on proper biomechanics. She was taking this class four times a week and decided to become an instructor.
Marcella describes BootyBarre as one of the most complete formats she has seen. It increases flexibility, body alignment and balance while toning from head to toe. Marcella likes to run, play tennis competitively and practice Pilates and Yoga.
Lara Wahl has practiced various styles of yoga since 1999 and has earned her certification at the Sivananda Forest Academy in Kerela, India. She studied Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, India as well as Vinyasa, in Cambridge, MA at the Baron Baptiste Yoga Center. She’s taught for over 15 years and loves the gift of healing and empowerment that yoga brings to practitioners.
Hers is a holistic approach of integrating postures with proper breathing techniques, alignment, stretching, and strengthening, while maintaining a meditative heart and mind. This is all integrated into one truly all levels fluid practice that is sure to help you regain your focus, center, and serenity while empowering and strengthening your body and mind.

Kidding Around Yoga with Jenny is stress management for children. While teaching the science and poses in yoga, Jenny provides a curriculum that is specifically designed to help kids be active, learn to relax, improve focus, and have FUN in a non-competitive environment. We do this through the use of cardiovascular conditioning, original songs, games, storytelling, and relaxation techniques. Kidding Around Yoga with Jenny reaches children through the way they learn best—play!
Jenny is a certified Kidding Around Yoga teacher who trained with the International organization of KAY. She enjoys helping kids learn about the science of Yoga, helping them to increase self confidence and the importance of exercise and healthy eating all while having fun. Beginning in September, Jenny will begin her 200 hour RYT certification and looks forward to expanding her teaching to all populations. Jenny currently teaches in Community Centers, Public schools, Day Care Centers, and for Girl Scout groups. Jenny lives in Mendon with her two girls Mabel and Dori, their dog named Ruby and 2 guinea pigs, Toby and Alex.
Cassandra's A. Hunts background is Dance. She grew up dancing with Paulette’s Ballet Studio in Medfield and Newton, MA. As an adult she continued her training at both Elite Dance Center and the Boston Ballet School. She and her family continue to be students and performers today. Her passion for Zumba drove her to become a licensed instructor in 2013. As soon as to Zumba® Step became available she added this to her repertoire, and it quickly became her favorite specialty as she found it is enjoyed by participants of all ages. Her goal is to see everyone leave the classes she leads with a smile on their face. In addition to Zumba® Step, Cassandra also teaches Zumba® and Zumba® Gold. She is presently studying for her AFAA Group Ex Certification.
Linda hasn’t always loved exercise; she started her path to fitness by being a back row “heckler”. She credits her over twenty year instructor career to the instructor who saw “something in her” and mentored her to become a certified Group Fitness Instructor. Over her twenty plus years journey, she has instructed Boot Camp, Step, Senior Fitness, Muscle Conditioning, Kickboxing, and Indoor Cycling. She has successfully completed Mad Dog certification programs in Heart Rate Training and Principals for Effective Weight Loss. Her other interests include, hiking, music, dance and long walks on the beach…lol.
Linda is a retired Army Master Sergeant with more than twenty years of service. Her pride shines through in her masterful instruction and ability to make each participant push their personal fitness limits while having fun doing it.

Rug hooking is a simple and relaxing craft, that can produce beautiful finished products such as coasters, table toppers, pillows and floor rugs. This repetitive motion is easy and satisfying. If you want to learn this age old craft I can set up up with all the materials needed: loan of a rug hooking frame, beginner pattern and enough wool to begin a project of your choice.
Ellen Gould is a certified rug hooking teacher in the Pearl K. McGown National Guild. I have taught classes at the Worcester Center for Art, children’s and adult classes, Milford Community Use program, public demonstrations and board positions in the Wachusetts Mountain Chapter of The Association of Traditional Hooking Artists.
